Will a B18C1 swapped EK hatch pass smog in CA LEGALLY?
Yeah guys I'm about to buy a EK Hatch with a USDM GSR B18C1 swap bone stock except for only an AEM C.A.I. done to the engine and i'm just wondering if it'll pass smog LEGALLY in Southern California without any problems? Yeah i'm just wondering that because It's going to be daily driven and I don't want to have the cops on my ***...I'd really appreciate it guys...thanks
i dont see why not if you're running an obd-2 gsr ecu... if so you should be fine (i dont livein cali so i dont have to deal w/ the extra bs but just using common sense in this case.)
A few things.
The motor you are installing must be the same year or newer.
All California emissions equipment must be installed.
You must also take it the ref.

I'm having emission issues with my VX
Why not have the person meet you at the emissions shop and test it before the deal is made
