Need your input on what to do!!! Just take a second and give an opinion. Thanks!!!
well I have a gash in a sleeve. Here are my options which I was told...and I'm asking you all to back them up if they are true or not.
previous honda motors I've worked on are a bit different than the f20c.
This seems to have no sleeves, just solid aluminum cylinders(magnet wouldn't stick) Although I was told they are iron?
1.)Can the stock cylinders be bored? I was told they can't be bored, or if they can, not alot due to it being so thin where they are siamesed together.
What is the truth on this? This would be one of the cheaper routes for me.
2.)Find a short block which NO ONE HAS that I've found. If you know ANYBODY with one, please let me know ASAP.
3.)Get the block sleeved. I got a quote for $1500 to get the entire cylinder walls cut/pressed out and a new set of steel sleeves pressed in, bore size to my liking, possibly including a set of pistons and rings with the $1500.
What route would you all take? I'm not trying to spend a huge amount of money here...thanks everyone.
