Default JDM Recaro's w/ JDM Armrest Eliminator....

Hey guys...I just have a question on the whole recaro's with the eliminator. It is to my understanding that the USDM Armrest will not fit with the wider Recaro seats. That being true, I would have to go with the JDM Armrest eliminator. I'm sure everyone knows what they look like, but what do I do with the badge? Do i take off my current badge on the armrest and place it in the Eliminator?...Would it even fit? If not, I have only seen the 98-Spec Plaque. My car being an 00' I would like it to match. (Sorry, I'm really picky about little things). Do they sell an 00" Plaque if my current badge won't work? Thanks in advance for all your help.

My '99 JDM ITR has a plaque that says "98 Spec". I put the same one in my '00 USDM ITR. I left the numbered plaque from the USDM on the armrest, and put it away somewhere.

The 00+ JDM ITR's had numbered plaques, so putting in the "correct" one would look odd as it would be blank.

BTW, your USDM plaque won't fit.

it actually should fit.. the thing that is hard is that the armest gets in the way of the turning thing to recline the seat... if you switch around the seat belt clickers and put the turning thing on the outside it should just be fine...

I have one ITR JDM Recaro in my car and it fits with the arm rest. The side bolster just slightly rubs on the armrest when you open and close the compartment. Yes, the adjustment **** is hard to reach but once you get it dialed to where you like it, it is not a problem.

Here is a picture of it.

When I had my R, i had the Arm Rest Eliminator, and I put my badge on it...I ordered the 98spec badge hoping the little piece of plastic would be special for holding badges, alas, tehy were different sizes and the 98spec had to little metal things on the back to hold it on, what did i do you ask? I used adhesive to stick my 01-whatever...badge onto the little plastic thing that covered the bolts holding on the eliminator...wow that's one big run on sentence...i'll see if i have a picture of my setup.

I looked, but couldn't find a picture to show what i was talking about...pretty much you just pop the clear plastic piece off that holds in your stock badge, and that badge will come right out. Then just glue it onto the plastic screw cover, i used shoe goo as it is easy to clean off if i wanted to ever put my arm rest back in.

Personally, I don't know why people still keep the original numbered badge in their cars. Once it's gone, it's gone.

I have Recaro SRD's with the eliminator. I got a standard non-numbered badge from Len for pretty cheap.

*yes the car was a little dirty...thanks
