Default 4th gen JDM sidemarker setup

how did you guys wire up your JDM sidemarkers for the 4th gen lude? did you wire them to the front bumper outside turn signal (so that they turn on w/ your corner lights, blink when you signal, and are off when your lights are off) or did you wire them to the front bumper inner turn signal (so that they only blink w/ your signals, but off when your lights are on). Does anyone know how they are setup in Japan? since the JDM front bumper outer turn signals don't have any bulbs attached to them (the holes are closed off). Thanks

Oh really??

"JDM front bumper outer turn signals don't have any bulbs attached to them (the holes are closed off)."

I think how to wire it is just depending what you like. I've seen people wanted to make it lit up all the time and blink when it turns, which is like you said, wired to the outer signal light.

hope it helps.

I suppose it's the same in Japan and in Europe (our outer turn signals are not wired either): they are wired to the inner turn signals, so they just blink along with the turn signals. Actually in my country the side markers are the *only* mandatory turn signals, the front ones are optional (thus the turn signals mounted on side mirrors on some german cars).

hmmm....right now i have mine wired up to my outer front bumper outside turn signal (so that they turn on w/ corner lights, blink when signaling, and are off when lights are off). I'm thinking about re-wiring it to the euro and jap specs to elimate all this lighting (my car looks like a freakin light show from the headlights, corner lights, turn signals, and sidemarkers all being on at the same time; not to mention the JDM foglights i'm about to install). Sure it gives the Lude it's presence, but it's just too much lighting for me. Plus, i don't like how the USDM front turn signals alternately flash. Thanks for the comments guys
