no vtec n can't calibrate tps correctly!!!!

In 96 ek ....I haven't had vtec since swap was completed. I used an ex harness to avoid having to run extra vtec wires. The only codes the motor is throwing is code 1 for o2 sensor and code 7 for tps which lead me to swap the tps wit one from a gsr I found. I was trying to calibrate it but I can only get it to .42 at closed throttle, not to .45 as it should be. At wot it only reads 1.8 instead of 4.5 like it should. What can be causing this????? I linked my vtec problem to the bad tps becuase oil level is good, solenoid is good, and the wiring was done correctly during the swap, and I was told by several people including ht members that it could be the cause of no vtec. Now that I put in a working sensor and I can't seem to get the right voltage readings nor clear the cel code leads me to believe I have a bigger problem. Any input is appreciated, I am going crazy trying to get the car running right.

Are you getting the proper 5volt to the tps?
If so, then you either have a bad tps sensor, or its not mounted properly.
.5v closed and 4.5 open. just fyi.

yes im pretty sure its mounted correctly....helms says .45 at closed throttle

According to Alldata(if your using your stock '96 civic harness), you should have a yel/blu(reference voltage(constant 5v)), red/blk(sensor input), and grn/blk(sensor ground).
Have you checked the yel/blu wire to make sure your getting 5volts there?
If you are, but you are only getting 1.8 at WOT(at the red/blk), then your sensor is bad or you have it mounted incorrectly.
