something that should have been in the FAQ
I recieved a 93 civic dx (150k miles) and an auto transmission.
I am going to do a 18a1 motor swap and i wanted to know what ecu to use and if i could switch to a manual transmission.
I could'nt find this in the FAQ

you are better off with the b18b because it is obd1 and available with a hydro clutched transmission. putting an b18a1 will cause you problems when it comes time for smog unless you can find a b18a1 from 1993 and a hydro clutch transmission so you can bolt it up without using the hydro to cable kit.

OBD-I LS uses a P72 ECU.

Since when? My friends b18c doesn't have any clearance issues in his 92 dx coupe.

You're right. My mistake.
I had a chipped P75 sitting in my room for the longest time when I was still thinking about doing a B series swap. Then I started doing research to go turbo I found out that I didn't need the P72 for the B18 because I could chip my P28 and run whatever map I wanted, other than GSR if I wanted to use the secondary butterflies.

the b18c will fit just as well as the B18B in an EG with a stock hood. i have a vented hood and i still have enough room to put a big mac and not smash it...i left one in there on accident one time. the B18B will come in the DC style integra. the B18A will come in the DA integras. the preferred ECU to use is the P75.
