obd-1 conversion
searhed the archives for information but keep hitting on nothing. Can anyne help me with the information. I have a b18b running obd-0 ,but Ikeep having problems.Car wont run idle at all.It just revs up and down.someone help please.
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak if it is revving up and down. I would check for vacuum leaks and also you might want to clean the evap, which is located behind the intake manifold. Good Luck
you should fix the idle problem before you do an obd-1 conversion. to check for
a leak take whatever intake piping you have connected to the throttle body and you should see two holes. with the engine running cover one hole and see if the idle cleans up if not, cover othe other one and see if the idle cleans up. only cover one at a time. if the idle cleans up it is either the fitv like the other dude said or it's the iacv. i can't remember right now but when the car is running normally one of the holes causes the engine to stall and when you cover the other it idles like ****. i think the iacv stall when covered and the fitv makes the car run like **** when covered, but anyways if the car dosn't changing idling habits when either hole is covered you have a vacuum leak else where, but bla bla bla bla, just report back and i'll look in a service manual for you, by the way obd -1 sucks. but it can run an ls ok

make sure its filled with coolant
make sure the air is out of the cooling system
check vacuum hoses for leaks
take off iacv and clean the little screen
take off cap and screw in fitv
