Default experiences with str big bore throttle body and venom IM

im about to buy a str big bore throttle body and venom intake manifold from a tuner friend of mine and i have little/no experience with those two brands. im runnin a 99 h22a4 fully N/A built............just wondering who has tried either or both of those two on their h22a4's and how they liked or disliked them...........any and all comments appreciated

I would not recommend the Venom manifold first because it is made for forced induction cars, and you would most likley loose power, and second because you have to do so much custom modifying for them that they are almost not even worth the work. IMO.

We are doing the exact same this year, but our experiance is with a turbo application which has worked out well. I agree with the earlier post that you do need to make modifications to the Venom IM -adding a sensor and throttle bracket. Good luck

That Venom IM is not for N/A.

i can vouch for the STR 70mm. it worked great on my Type-S/siR/S-spec H22. and now with the big cams, it works even better. the return plate spring is really heavy though, so you have to learn to modulate your throttle better, but overall, it's awesome.

no experience with the venom manifold. but listen to the oaks guys, they know their stuff!

Yeah stay away from that manifold like everyone says. That 70mm tb would be good to have though.
