i own a red 91 crx with a zc swap (its not an si ) i got it for a grand. not a bad deal huh i dont really know anything about cars and didnt even know that this forum existed until my boyfriend showed me. i bought the car from him and he took the grand i gave him and used it toward a 2000 celica, boo on him for being a traitor. lol oh well but now im all about my crx looking to upgrade my ride even more and hopefully ill be able to do it with the help of my boyfriend and all you cool peeps on this site. so ill be updating with some pics soon hopefully. just wanted to say HI YA'LL BRIDGET

as far as appearance i need new seats, badly, the driver seat is all jacked i was thinking about some red racing seats to match the car. it already has a aem cold air intake, it has little bitty indentions so some body touch up would be good. lets see what else, it has an exhaust already with 2.5 inch piping, i really want to fix up the inside. it got broken into right before i bought it and the theifs stole the really nice stereo it had. so now its got regualar boring head piece in. and they also stole the air fuel ratio gauge that my bf had installed so now in the mean time we rigged it so that the cigarette lighter is back in, just so i could atleast charge my phone meanwhile. so i want all new interior. new steering wheel i saw some nice one on some other posts something about a momo i think thats what it was called but it looked really cool. i gotta get some pictures of it posted its not that bad right now but i want it to be really cool. oh yeah and carbon fiber hood too bad they dont make carbon fiber hatch pieces or do they if they do yall gotta let me know. eventually upgrade the motor. maybe drop in a bigger motor, i hear you can put a gsr motor in a crx is that true.

you guys got any ideas for me let me know

Id keep the ZC in it though, maybe throw a few more bolt on in there, nitrous if you just feel like racing every once in a while. Sounds like you want something reliable anyways, the mroe you do usually the less reliable and more prone to theft (as you mentioned) it becomes

they do make carbon fiber hatches for the crx ( http://www.passwordjdm.com/pro...D=393 ), they look badass, and you can basically put any motor in the rex that you want, its going to take some money though... so yes to your question, a gsr will fit in the crx...

yes no problem installing any b motor, i would opt out of the racing seats(er ricer seats) unless you are getting some actual racing seats like sparco, momo, recaro, ect... basically nothing on ebay. good luck, also you need to post a pic of you with the car

 

where are the leg-humppers lol j/k... i wish my girlfreind even had a small clue about any of the things that i do to my crx...try posting some pics of it for us

 

thanks and to the dude whos chic knows nothing about his car i was once like her but i realize that if my honey and i were going to be able to spend quality time together than i better get into cars quick, cause quality time for him is swaping motors and you know what, its not that bad, im really good at holding the shop light and handing him tools. plus he gets turned on when im interested and thats a good thing for both of us. and i want my rex to look better than his celica and im tired of him always beating me when we are driving somewhere and racing there. punk *** doesnt he knows ladies first lol. and it would be really cool to see my car in the honda tuning mag.

lol you bought it for 1G later on you get it back plus interest...hehe. If you want to swap GSR i suggest you upgrade the suspension first(especially the tires- get some good traction tires) cuz my rex just got spun out from ran away from cop ( didnt get me though cuz he gave up after i left him 200 yard away). and for the interior, i dont know how ur area is but crx is one of the easiest to steal, so u decide. Good luck and have fun cutting lane.

 

Keep that ZC, you'll kick his *** every day with the right mods. It sounds like he abused the Rex and it needs a little love. Replacing your seats and interior pieces would probably be top priority there. Check out people parting out their drag CRX's. It's not too hard to buy the interior off someone who just gutted their car.

Performance wise, Nitrous will be the best bang for your buck. Mind you there is a huge temptation and tendancey to abuse the substance, if used in moderation you could whip around his 2ZZ-GE with relative ease.

Some ding pulling, and exterior mods to taste and you'll have a sexy rex to run around with.

Edit: Aw hell, this is an intro thread and no one has flamed yet. This has to be gender discrimination.

 

good buy on the crx , one thing about crx's they look clean with a good drop, keep it clean keep it original. Just like the guy said before dont shop for "jdm" stuff on ebay or anything there. look around on the for sale forums for things for your car, there a whole lot of deals.

congrats, it looks like its in good shape. i wish i had the si cluster. i will be doing that soon. i have a 91 hatch with a crx dash. it also has a integra ls swap done. i used to work for toyota and celicas are very slow.
