IACV PROBLEMS
OK i took off my IACV and repleaced it with a used one I got, that was from a worker engine, atlest that is what I was told. Here are some pictures of the old one I took off. However its still ideling funny after its warmed up. So this didnt NOT fix my problem. Can you guys think of anything else that could possibly make it idle like this?

check your fast idle control valve on the bottom of the TB. the plastic plunger may have worked its way out and needs to be screwed back in. does the idle rise and fall continuously?
grab your screwdriver and go check it out. the plastic plunger is inside the fitv.

it is attached to the underside of the TB. it has been removed in this picture.

I plugged one hole, and it did the samething, i replaced a ton of random stuff on the TB, and replaced the IACV (AKA EACV). Whatever I did.. it fixed my problem, so i thought.. the idle went down a lot i notced. And then it was fine for about 2 hours.. then it started again, and now its back to normel.. just now the warm up idle speed is a lot less. SO what do i do now?

did you only plug one hole cause there are 2 holes inside the throttle body.

if that doesnt work take a look at your throttle body gasket. if that looks good, check for vacuum hose leaks. to find a leak, use (i think carb cleaner), and spray the vauum hoses and sea if the car wants to die or not. hope this helps ya out
Yeah i only did one house... also... does the PCV house go to the bottom part on the IACV? or the top part.. its on the bottom.. i could have had them swtiched by mistake. If i plug both holes up.. and it works.. what does that mean?

so basically if you plug one of the holes and it starts idling correctly, then it will be a fitv or iacv problem. or a throttle body gasket problem.

If you plug the hole on the bottom right and the idle is cured it is the FITV. The problem will most likely be the that you have to pull it apart and tighten everything inside. As for locating the FITV just follow the hole. When you have the FITV apart you can take the peice that has the thermal wax in it, make sure you have the rod stuck in the end then stick the big end in HOT tap water to see it the rod gets pushed out (mine moved a couple millimeters. If thats working then the big screw type thing with thee hole in it needs to be tightened (I also used teflon paste on mine to hold it in). I screwed with my cars pulsating idle for about a month then just rebuilt the FITV in a half hour.
