dust sheild needed?
ok i jus put some coilover on and the dust sheild is jus sittin on top of the coilover and makes the car sits higher than stock....do i need the dust sheildon the shock?
Do you mean the dustboot? That black rubber sleeve with the accordion-section that protects the piston rod? Its basically a flimsy piece of rubber that you can compress with your fingers, I don't see that it would affect your car's ride height.

Some of the cars did have a stock steel dust cover and they can hit an aftermarket coil-over sleeve. You can either remove it or cut it shorter so that it does not hit. This is a common issue with drop-on coil-over sleeve its.

it's not a big deal, though ideally it'd be nice to have a dust boot back there.
instead, you can just clean up your shocks and springs once in a while to compensate...
