Default odyssey pc 680 install with small problem?

Ok have a bit of problem I finished installing my odyssey battery and the problem I am running into is I am blowing 60 amp fuses. It does not blow the fuse when i first put it in only when I turn the car off and try to restart it. What happens is the engine tries to start and then fuse blows? Now like I said this only happens after I start the car with a good fuse, start it, drive it, turn it off, and then try to start it again, and bam blown fuse?

Now one thing is that the fuse holder I am using accepts 6-gauge wire and the wire to the battery is 4-guage, so what i did was splice the 4-gauge wire and installed the 6-gauge wire and fuse. so it goes like this

battery--4-gauge to 6-guage to fuse holder with 60A fuse to 6-guage to 4-gauge.

any help would be nice..

I am going to try and find a fuse holder that accept 4-gauge wire as I think my problem is the 6-gauge wire spliced.

my thoughts would be that you are grounding out somewhere, probably with one of your splicings. also, are you sure that the fuse is supposed to be 60amp? i could have sworn the fuse was 80amp, i could be wrong though. when you start it the first time, are you starting it with the hood open? and i assume that when you try to start it the second time, the hood is shut?

Pretty sure it's too much current draw. Most starters require more than 60 amps.

Try a larger fuse holder/fuse.
