Whats the motor setup. Oversize valves are beneficial mainly on wilder engines.

it is for a B16A1 Turbo engine... i want to do something to help the engine breath better especialy on the low/mid range before boost and was asking me if i could have any disadvantages from taking 1mm oversized valves.

You can add them but it's not needed.I did a head that's gone 9.6's with the stock valve sizes.

what else did you do on the head if you leave the valve size stock?

if you only done some other headwork, i guess bigger then stock valve size doesn't increase the airflow?! so they aren't a bottleneck at all... right?

You can get a valve job w/o going oversized.

I fully ported the head if that's what your asking. The problem w/bigger valves is that it limits the cam choices you can make.It used to be that turbo cars ran stock itr/gsr cams now they are finding more power w/aftermarket longer duration higher lift cams so it becomes an issuse then.
