what do you guys think i should do about this crx for sale?
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...dptop
i have a freshly painted 1990 eclipse gsx 5spd with 88,000 original miles. only thing it needs is tuning rough idle for winter and possibly a baljoint or cv axle. it has a apexi n1 down pipe and exhaust. do you guys think i should try get some money out of him with the car? also he lives 6 hours from me so im going to try and use my car being nicer as leverage. also what do you guys think in general of this crx. in my opion it needs some body work to make it look clean. im doing this manly because i want out of the factory boosted world of problems with older turbo cars.

not too bad of a price considering all the stuff done to the motor......hope it runs good. I wouldnt worry too much about the paint, u can always do that later. just make sure the car runs good and has no mechanical problems or else u might run into the same problems......
He's in VA so chances are the car has rust..And with that b20vtec motor you better found out exactly how the motor was built, because so many people just slap the block with a vtec head and start revving it out to 8500rpm the next day..

Thats y I love SoCal
And the thing about the motor, its true, so many do some ghetto rigged **** that I am suprised by everytime i see it. My friend was showing me his new "ZC" turboed hatch, and when i look underneath the hood i notice the DOHChead and read the block stamp that says d15b........
I didnt wanna break the bad news to him.....

thanks for the input im still trying to get in contact with him. also what wheel horse power u guys think that b20/vtec with all those parts is makin? 200 range?
I dont think it would be that much.......he says it needs a tune, so it prolly runs low numbers right now, and u can extract some extra ponies with the tune.

Honestly I doubt ..He's got 370cc injectors,Walbro fuel pump, and a chipped ecu..So its probably running pig rich,,And honda motors dont make their best power running to rich,,If you got uberdata and get it tuned to max potential and swap out those b16 cams for itr or ctr cams and do some port and polish on the head you could probably make around 200hp..And the dc sport header isnt really the best for making 200hp..

Great point. They are stock b16 cams.......so those arent gonna help u make the 200 mark, and the fuel thing is right on the money.....my car runs rich now, and i can say it is far from fast
Get it tuned for sure......even out the air/fuel ratio, get some better cams, some gears to help with the tuning process, and a GOOD all motor header, and then u should be thinking about 200 hp.
P.S. I run a DC 4-1 Header right now, and its ok, but if u really want a BIG gain from a header, ur gonna have to spend a pretty penny, but it will definately pay off on the dyno
