I put my 15x6.5 +40 offset Rota JSPL's on my 95 Integra LS w/ stock brakes and the spokes were rubbing onto the caliper. I just wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this problem....

Yea, i went to the rota website and left them a message. I also called the seller, and he's going to contact his distributer this weekend. I'm hopin i'll get reimbursed for 2 rims atleast if anything. Do u guys think runnin a 5 mm spacer is safe on stock sized wheel studs?

ahh the infamous wheel breaking pic. Anyways, I've have nothin against rotas, in fact, my last wheel was the slipstream and it went thru hell and back with all these potholes i ran over. I just hope i can resolve this issue with these wheels...
Shaving the caliper is probably my last resort. I first want to get some sort of feedback from rota and the distributer. Then wheel spacers are my next resort, and if that doesnt work out, then shaving the caliper is my last option.

I wouldnt risk it.. id opt for some extended studs just to be safe, theres probably people running wheel spacers...but Imo wouldnt want to find out the hardway

or, if ur a hardcare honda-tech kinda guy, instead of 'buying' some expensive wheel spacers, just use 10 washers on each lug to make it stick out more.
this can also be used to fix ur camber.
haha.

As regards to that wheel break C8 pic, just make sure you read the FULL STORY behind it. Its not as it looks
As regards to the wheel rubbing, thats a bit of rubbing. As mentioned before, wheel spacers are probably your best bet. Are you sure that the wheel itself isnt bent?? Because I think factory offset is +38. I know a few teg guys running +40 on the front and +45 on the rear with absolutely no issues with the stock calipers. Your mounting surface (or your hub) could also be slightly tweeked allowing uneven mouting. Are all the lug nuts going on with even thread depth??
I dont know, just throwing some ideas out there.

Yea it is a lot of rubbing. And the weird thing is, i gave rota an email and their response was this:
the prefferred offset for that is an offset 38 or offset 35...
for the offset 40 you need a 1/4inch spacer to clear the front calipers... you can get the spacers from any wheel shop... they usually carry that...
please contact our Office in the USA for to your convenience... they can point you to the nearest dealer...
So i guess 40 offsets dont work for integras? I dunno.. Regardless, the wheels are not bent, they were purchased brand new. Not all the lugs are going in with equal length. The lug nuts closer to the caliper don't go in as deep as the ones that aren't near the caliper.

Just a quick review. The guy bought the car as a USED race car, with USED race wheels. At the time they did not know hom many races/miles where on the wheels.
It is pretty common fact that wheers are a WEAR item when racing, and if you are doing lots of race miles you will have to replace wheels. Just for example look at last years Nascar chase when Kurt Busch broke a wheel. This was a wheel they they said they had used the previous season. Any wheel can break!
As far as the wheels, are you sure you ordered, and received the correct the offset??

Ok, let me call a friend to see what offset he is running on his Rotas...............

Alright, +40mm front and +45mm rear with no clearance issues. I guess its how the wheel is constructed. But, from the looks of the pics, you should have plenty of clearance.
Did your lugs do that the first time the wheels were put on??
