is it 4 wheel drive? cause if you change rotors the front is a bitch for a first timer...

if its only the pads, which is ghett, check and see what a dealer would charge and cut it in about half more or less

tell him if you are just changing the pads and he is buying the parts $100, and it won't take but maybe a hour.

$100 sounds decent. i strongly recommend turning/resurfacing the rotors when adding new pads.

A favor from the boss is normally worth more then any deal you would give him, I would do it for say lunch. Where do you werk by the way? that will also make a difference, if its a dry cleaners who the hell cares what he can do for you.

good point

i would say do it for free if the boss seems like he would remember the favor and return it later..

if he is a douchebag. .charge him cuz he deserves it

I would just do it as a favor if he has authority over you to be able to influence your getting promoted or your raises. Just say, " I'll hook you up, just remember me when its raise time." Laugh and play it off as a half joke.

Although, i did have a supervisor I drove around and helped and that bitch *** *** fucked me over when it came time for me to get promoted just because his *** was getting fired. I still hate that ****** to this day.

100 bucks should be fine.. your saving him money by doing it.. and im sure you have better things to do than change brakes.. dont do it as a freebie or else the next time the pads go bad. it will seem insulting if you want to get paid this time.

the Isuzu Rodeo is the same thing as a Honda Passport

The hubs have to be pulled to remove the rotors like on a 90-97 Accord.

I would charge him no more than 100 bux to change the pads.....it is really straight forward and if you have any sense, it will take you about 15 minutes or less per corner.

I would charge him 100 bucks. Especially if he got quoted 800$, then 100$ is practically a freebie. Just make sure you do a good job. See if you can do it on the clock, so you get paid 100$ plus your hourly wage.

edit: only way not to charge is if he has a hot daughter and doesn't mind renting her out for the night

I would do it for free, if he was nice enough he would give you something in return as of money or some kinda bonus at work.

Somehow I see this turning into a disaster and your boss losing confidence in you. But good luck!
