all i gotta say is dont go ebay, i've had an ebay intake on my Si and my friend did on his GSR, they are ugly and cause CELs. now i have a real AEM short ram and i love its looks, sound, and it doesnt throw a CEL
I bought a cheap intake from a company in SCC or something (about 4 years ago). Hasn't thrown any codes, and works as well as just about any other intake would.

You should buy an intake for the ENGINE if you want it to be smog legal.

All intakes are going to give you same results in the end.. All SRI will give you the same results, as will CAI. Get the cheapest one you can find and get a K&N filter and you're golden.
