Default header again

ok, so we put my header on tonight, it went on pretty easy, i had to extend the wires for the O2 sensor, but it all went good. I turned it on, but had a check engine, i guess this is normal, so i disconnected the battery, and it works fine now, i just have a few places I may have some air leaking, can someone else tell me some other things to watch, and problem areas for leaks?

thanks
austin

Did you use a brand new exhaust manifold gasket? The old one may have formed with the old manifold due to heat and pressure...it's recommended to use a new gasket each time. Otherwise, gaskets between the header and the rest of the system may clear up some leaks too.

no, it's not that, i can almost bet on it.

let me guess, it's a 6th gen obd2 which will throw a code 41 which is pretty common when you entends the wire, heater circuit malfunction cel will come on.

if i ain't mistaking obII just means that your car is equiped with 2 oxygen sensors instead of the obdI's one sensor.

Plus the basic computing system is more complex. OBDII was initiated to reduce emissions even further, this way the computer can monitor emissions pre and post cat and make more changes.
