My car finally sold today. I'm really bumbed because I never thought it would have ended like this. The new owner of 98-0097, Thuan is currently driving it back to Georgia as I write this.
When I first bought the car I had no idea owning it would have this big an impact on my life. I bought it with the intention of running it on the street and being the typical Hype-R ricer fan boy. I'd like to thank Dave Bowlin (DavidNYC) for opening my eyes to a much funner hobby, HPDE and AutoX
I first met him a few years before I ever bought my R by chance and he told me of a group of local Type-R owners that called themselves R-Speed. I held onto his card and when I bought # 97 I gave him a call. Without hesitation he invited me to his house to chill and I bought his OEM GM ITR wheels from him. He told me that the R-Speeders met at local AutoX's and HPDE's and such and invited me to try them out for myself. When I first came around all the guys were happy to meet me and were relly helpful. Dave and Rodney instructed me at my first AutoX and after my first run I was hooked.
He also mentioned this website and that most of the ITR owners here were more than happy to help another R owners out. What a lie that was
Because of this caR I have met some of the nicest and most genuine people I know today. I've had a blast for the 2 and a half years I've owned an ITR and it's because of j00 guys.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone, and although it seems like all I do is flame and "STFU" and "GTFO" everyone on here I really have learned a lot from you guys. JonD, Basso, Dave Bowlin, Anton (OneGreyTeg), DanGSR, Rodney, ChrisN, Marc Tran (BlueR), Ryan (RTW), Brad (Mythias) and the list goes on and on, thanks for everything.
I hope to be an owner again someday, and if the cards are delt right I will be. In the mean time I'll stay here and ***** as usual if you "Hype-R elitist guys" don't mind.
Thanks,
Opie

Got that right. Good choice, Opie.
You can always get another one down the line. And remember you always have a former R-owner make-out partner down in MD
