I have a 94 ex 5spd, while I was cleaning out my car I lifted my passenger side floor mat up and the carpet was wet and I dont know whats the problem any ideas?

 

Either it's:
1) A left over from Hurricane Flooding
2) You left the passanger window open during a rain storm
3) You've got a developing Heater Core Issue

The first two are self-explanitory
The third will be accompianed by a difficult to find (until now) Coolant Leak.

have you been running the ac. it could be the drain from evaporator (i think that is what it is), it is right up under/behind the glove box. There is a plastic tube that runs through the firewall that drains the condensaion, and if not pushed all of the way through, or clogged, it will cause it to overflow

Doodle: You're actually going to tell me there's a need to run the a/c in Texas this time of year? The last time I looked, the relative humidty was deposited on the roads, masqurading as ice. Do me a favor and keep a close eye on your coolant levels.

Captain Kyle: Two places to ponder on your water leak.
1) Windshield lower corner. Quick way to locate wind noise and water leak locations; Park car in area of still air (Garage, etc) Start car, Heater Fan on high, fresh air sourse, close all windows, close doors. Take anything you've got that will produce a small smoke trail (cigarette, insense stick etc) and slowly move it along areas which you might suspect a leak or open body seam. As you approach the leak sourse, the smoke trail will change from rising vertically to being blown sideways. A neat way of making an air/water leak spot visible. You can also use a stethiscope if you want to do it audibly.
2) Right Door: If the r/s door has ever been worked on, the vapor barrier (plastic sheet thats behind the door trim panel) may have been damaged or is out of position. It deflects water that normally gets past the lower window belt weatherstrip to a point outboard of the inner door panel; where it can drain outside the door seal. Damaged it can actually channel water into the passanger compartment.

Do you live in texas?? if you did you would know that we had a couple of hot days last week where i used the A/C ...there is nothing wrong with my door, if water was leaking through the window it would not just be in one spot..my floor mats arent wet. just when you pull up the floor mats the carpet is wet not in all areas..so im going to listen to Jb's idea..but you do have good ideas..thanks
