First, what kind of car is it now? Is it an Si? If so, you can use the stock PM6. If not, you need to wire it to MPFI.

And yes, you can use your D-series axles and tranny.

Use your stock axles and if you can find one use a 89 integra LS ecu way better than the Si ecu

Why would you want to do that? The ZC would be much better with a PM7.

Just get your damn ecu chipped and run zc maps on it, rather than something not meant for the damn engine. Damnit.

you can use your axles the only way you would need to change them is if you had a
ZC tranny

"The ZC trans. requires you to use ZC or 90-91 Integra axles, and a ZC intermediate shaft. Because these axles are equal length also
Also, when using the ZC transmission in CRX HF or Civic STD, you will need to swap knuckles/hubs for ones from Si or DX."

Because they're hard as hell to find. If someone sold a pm7, I would have bought it. Now I am in the process of searching classifieds and ebay for a 90-91 pm6 to chip. Way better way to go IMO.

PM6 ('90-91 CRX Si) - This era of CRX ECUs have more aggressive fuel and timing curves than that of the previous years.

sounds like the PM6 will do just fine

if you can check a junk yard on certain days when they bring in a new shipment of cars
you might get lucky!!!!!

hmotors? I have never personally tried to buy a pm7, so I have no idea how hard they are to get a hold of.

Another option would be to find a 90-91 pm6 and chip it with pm7 maps. Also, since the DOHC zc is great for boost, and if you do decide to go boost later on, you can always change the fuel maps on the chip instead of the stock pm7 ones.

I have a spare one sitting around. In fact, I have TWO spares... I was going to give one of mine away when the car sells. My EX is running on a chipped PM6 now.

Just a quick observation. Hf's are mpfi to, atleast i know 89-91 is. I'm pretty sure the 88's are, but not 100%.

There's also issues with running a stock pm7 on a regular ZC swap. If I remember correctly there is a couple of sensors that you won't be running that the pm7 will be looking for...one being an exhaust temp sensor and could cause issues with the cold/hot maps.

Run a pm6 with pm7 maps. I'm currently running a pm6 without maps and its fine for something to work for a while...but not anywhere near what the zc wants. I will be converting it to obd-1 in a couple of days instead.

At the time of my swap they were backordered 3 months on the pm7

I've had some luck buying ECU's from jdm engine importers. Do a google search for used japanese engines and start calling them and ask for the ZC ecu. One quoted me 75 dollars shipped once.

If you can't find a PM7 you can get any 90-91 PM6 and send it out to be chipped with the PM7 program.

Try http://hyperducktuning.com or http://locashracing.com/

Or try a Pg7...it made the same #'s on the dyno.

Wow man, those mugs are expensive, you can get a chipped pm6 with custom basemap for 100 shipped, then you'll be ready to tune also, which would be the best route for least money.
