Keep the Ground Controls or go with Tein s-techs??
I've been running GC sleeves for 2 years on stock shocks. Needless to say it was time to change. I ordered some KYB AGX's for a really good price, but after doing some research here, it seems most thing the AGX perform better with springs than coilovers.
The drop would be about the same...as I'm about 2" now, but want to raise it a bit anyways. My dilema is whether or not to give up the adjustability of keeping the raked stance (a tad bit lower in the front) if the Teins don't offer me that.
Any advice? Will the spring shock combo perform a lot better for my daily driving commute?
Thanks!

Get some H&R Sport springs. The front will be a tad bit lower than the rear if that's what you wanted(couldn't tell if you wanted that kind of stance or not). I have a set that I might be selling off my 99 Civic.
just order a softer spring for the ground controls. youll be able to make it as soft as you want, or whatever.
search through this thread, buy and sell any spring available for much cheaper than new. used eibachs are just as good new, theyre pretty indestructible.

i have had both tein s-techs and ground control on tokico illumina shocks. I had ground controls on, changed to teins, an then back to ground control. The teins definately ride nice and you dont have that rattle or as many squeeks with the springs. I had them on my 00 civic si and it said they lowered 1.9 front and 1.7 rear. it was more like 2.2 front and 1.9 rear when i put them on. Make sure to cut your bumpstops though. I didnt and after riding on them for a few miles, i kept hitting the bumpstops resulting in loud bangs over each dip or bump. I went back to GC because once i put the teins on, i knew that that was the height i was stuck with and they were a little too soft IMO. Definately suited for the daily driver in mind or someone looking for a good ride quality. I like my car dumped to the ground and stiffer springs so thats why i went back to GC. WHAt you should really do is just get a true coil-over setup. Like the Tein SS if you like tein.

Tein S tech have very soft rates, almost stock GSR type rates, if anything, i'd go H&R Sport. lowers EK 1.75/1.5 and the rates are 330/280 but progressive. S-tech rates 235/140. To me, S-tech couldn't possibly offer the increased performance a somewhat stiffer spring could, H&R Sports felt soft to me even so S-tech would be like stock to me

I have a Progress rear sway...so I'm looking forward to testing out the AGX's.
