Default Engine Rebuild.. please help

Engine Rebuild.. questions!
Okay I am on the track of planning my rebuild.. I have decided some broad ideas;
11.5:1 CR
Forged pistons and rods
Headwork

Ok I am have decided to go the forged route, because I might either bump up my rev limiter OR go with a direct port of NOS down the line....

Here are the questions... I found this great shop in my area that I would trust with the install of all these parts, BUT I am thinking I want to have the headwork done by portflow and get the sleeving done by GOlden Eagle... and then have my shop put everything together.. is this what most people do?? I mean would I have the shop pull the engine and send off the parts I wanted to the other companies?? how is this handled?? I would also get my stock injectors balanced and printed by RC and Also get the throttle body worked on..

ALso I know this has been asked about 5g;s but with obd-1 4g is there a simple way to rasie/remove the rev limiter? If I had to remove it I would use an aftermarket rev limter.. so

ANY HELP?

Andres, where are you getting this done at? I'm getting ready to have a block done myself. We should talk!

Hey apexii.. long time no chat...

THe shop that I found is in Huntingdon Valley, right off philmont ave. It is called JD's automotive..
I went there with 4 of my buddies to do some dyno tuning of my VAFC and the owner was SUPER cool.. THey do TONS of work on classic muscle cars and exotics, but are more then capable at handling imports...

I am ONLY in the planning stages of this build-up and this is the first shop that I found that I am confident would do good work.. I am still trying to determine my exact route... I have NOT done an in-depth look into the shop but the seem awesome!

One question u want to ask yourself is "do I want to run race gas all the time". The reason I say this is because to safely run anything higher thatn 11:1 you would need to run a 50/50 mixture of race and premium. If you go with higher compression then you should raise the limiter and throw on a direct port. Nitrous loves high compression. where are you located? you might want to spend a little extra and get valves also. Oh and dont forget to get the pistons rods and crank balanced for those higher rpms.

Umm from everything that I have researched, with 94 octane and 11.5:1 compression I should be fine without race gas!?!? AM I totally wrong????

Yes, 94octane is fine. The Celica uses 11.5:1 and requires 92octane, so you would be fine.
