Fuel, gas milage
hi i just got a 89 si, i wonder whats the milage on one of these? i bump full tank with 87 gas and so far i ran 45 mile and it took 1/4 tank already. It is right that what it doing? Or maybe it consume too much gas cuz i can smell it back at my muffler. What does yours rex milage?
on a full tank of 87 i usually get around 300-310 city miles...highway i get way more around 400.....when i would run 91 i got a lil more maybe a few more miles per gallon....check ur ecu maybe ur throwin a code, my buddies civic dx is throwin map sensor and that thing guzzles gas so bad a full tank to like 90-100 miles.lol....
The CEL is not on. Could it be that i gun it too much cuz i never drive the car below 40 in local and not below 80 one freeway? Or could it be O2 sensor?

Answered your own question. Stop driving like you stole it and you should see an improvement in miles per gallon.

ummm as far as floorin it on a 1/4 tank of gas (87) i can easliy go 17 runs at my local race track...when i put in five bucks to go racing i floor the pedal to the floor and still manage to get atleast 55 miles to 5 dollars of 87.........i remember when i first got my car on a full tank of 87 i was tryin to race everyone drving like i stole the car and i still got 250-275 on the full tank..keep in mind i was lauchin hard at every dead stop and gunnin it through 2nd and 3rd..make sure ur injectors arent leaking? check the O-rings ...and check ur fuel rail.if ur leakin gas u most deff would lose gas milage....andi drive between 30-60 local and on the freeway i roll at 80 plus mph and still get good gas milage
i have the same issue, when i get on it for a tank i get 200, when i drive conservative i still get 200 to the tank , and i have a sohc zc, no codes, chipped pm6 on 87 octane

I get 70 miles before I go off full, and mehbe 350 on a full tank, beating your car won't make you go through less than 10 miles to a gallon. Something is pretty wrong.

Agreed, but if the OP is driving excessively fast, he will see a drop in MPG. Definitely not that excessive though. Something is amiss.
