Default !!!PLEASE HELP!!!

Here's the deal. I have a 90 civic htbk. The past month or so now its been giving me problems on cranking.... the starter turns the motor but doesn't fire up. I have spark on both the wires and plugs. It will take atleast 3 minutes to start. While trying to crank it will pump out sometimes "Smoke" from the intake filter. Don't know what is going on and all. Please take of me

Also what all fits for the REAR DISC BRAKE CONVERSION? what cars and such. Thank you

what do yu mean by smoke from the "intake filter". do you mean your air filter? is smoke coming out of your air intake? that's fucked up. i don't know about the smoke but i would say fuel pump. what does everyone else think?

As for the rear disc conversion.

I've read from past post that the 94-01 Integ rear disk would fit.
I'm not 100% sure tho... that's what I read.

sounds like u may have a blown head gasket or a jumped timing belt, when the car is running does it smoke at all out of the exhaust or smell?

next for me would be to test the battery, and check for fuel pressure and how much when idle

Is the Fuel pump priming? It buzzes for a few seconds , then stops. As for the noise , do you mean the idle? If it's a jumpy idle , up to 1500rpm down to 750rpm and back up again , it could be the "Throttle Position Sensor". Is this a "Duel Point Injection" , or Multi-point"?

White smoke coming out of the intake usually means that your our intake valves are open at the wrong time..It is caused by bad timing or bent vavles..Was somebody playing with the timing belt or what..?

I know %100 that 90-91 crx si rear discs and 90-93 integra discs fit..Not completely sure about others..

Get a timing light and see what it's at first before you mess with it..The timing should be 15 +/- 2 degrees before tdc..Also, look at the cam gears and make sure the arrows are pointing at each other..

Hook up the postive and negative cables to the battery then hook the hook clamp on #1 spark plug wire..Then point the light to the driver side of the engine at the crank pulley and you'll will see the marks..

Yeah while its running and warmed up all ready..There are 3 red marks and 1 white mark on the pulley..The white one is tdc(Dont use this in this case)..
There is also a pointer on the timing belt cover(It kinda looks like a V)..What you want to do is line up the pointer on the timing belt cover with the middle red mark on the crank pulley..That is stock timing..To advance or retard use the distributor..Also you'll have to find the timing adjustment plug..Since you have a 90 it should be under the passenger side of the dash..You have to jump the the brown and green/white wires..If you dont jump the ecu, it will correct itself when you move the distributor....This is for ignition timing by the way..But with the way your is with the smoke coming out of the intake I think its cam timing..
