i put a stock radio back in my 93 civic and for some reason the memory on the radio and on my clock doesnt work. everytime i shut the car off, the radio's preset stations arent remembered and my clock resets to 1:00. can somebody help me figure this out.

There is a wire that sends constant power to the memory of the stereo and clock while the car is off, most likely fried it. Its the yellow wire in the stereo harness.
