Ratteling after installing B&M Short Shifter
Hi all,
First of all the short shifter is nice but I hate it because its straight... The ones with the original bend would be better...
Anyways, I have weird rattelling sound after installing it.
Especially when driving on low RPM and trying to accelerate.
I checked underneath the car today, and when I move the stick from side to side there is some clicking sound, but I couldn't understand where it was coming from...
Any ideas what could be the problem?

I Had the same poblem, its just hitting your Exhaust, you can either bend the hangers down a little or get longer rubber pieces for the hangers. 2 cents
Heres a pic of what was left after the installation:

the 3 red o rings are for interga only
the 4 black ring are replaces with new ones from the b&m kit
There was no info about the two black rings/spacers at the instruction and I couldnt get them in...
(There is some other o-rings that goes at the same place)
Maybe that the problem?

mine did the same thing. but mine wasn't hitting the exhaust. the bolt was rattling inside the shifter. i'm guess the o-rings that fit on the collar was to small. i decided to take the shifter out.

I just istalled a new Skunk2 shift ****, and guess what? The rattelign stopped!!
I still don't know if the problem was with the old shift **** (apc crap) or with the B&M shifter and the extra weight of the Skunk2 know stopped it...
