Default cam gear

for a 94 d16z6, do anyone know how to adjust the cam gear back too stock. mine seems to be off cuz i cant adjust my timing bak to 16 degree.

cam gear controls cam timing not ignition timing, distirbutor has to be adjusted to do that. i'm not sure what u are saying exactly, or asking.

loosen the bolts on the cam gear and turn the nut in the center of the gear. there should be a bunch of markings on the gear showing how many degrees advanced or retarded on it and a line. just make the line go to 0 degrees which should be dead center in the markings between advance and retard.

Ignition timing WILL change as you adjust cam timing, if the distributor is on the cam you are adjusting.

alright

thanks everyone!!!!!!!! the autoshop told me my ignition timing is at zero and to fix that i need to fix the cam gear timing.
