As long as the bulbs in your lights aren't hyper-white, or anything like that.

I know colors like red, and blue are illegal because it's considered to be "impersonating an officer."

According to DOT laws, your corners are illegal. Legal corner lights must be seen as YELLOW from the sides of the car. If the bulbs dont blink yellow up front, they are also illegal. Rear signals are considered legal if they blink yellow or red.

But as long as you put a yellow bulb in there it should be fine correct? Meaning, the housing can be clear as long as you have the correct color bulb inside.

I know a friend of mine had clear taillights way back when and he got pulled over a few times even though he had red bulbs inside. But I don't think I've ever heard of anyone getting pulled over for clear corners as long as they had yellow bulbs.

You can buy clear bulbs that light up amber.

Correct, they have to be seen BLINKING YELLOW from the sides. So you can :
a. Get yellow bulbs
b. Get silver coated blubs, but blink yellow when lit.

OR LEDs, which is what I did. You'll need a resistor, but they're pimp as hell.

For the bumper lights, i have the silver coated amber lights. But for the corners, I have the hyperwhite for the front-most bulb and a standard white bulb for the second one. With that contrast it makes the hyperwhite look white and the regular white appear amber.

On clear corners; theoretically if it doesn't provide a non-removable amber lens; for at least one bulb position, it's illegal (according to Federal D.O.T.). That's why A.P.C. has been jumping through hoops of late; constantly revising their line of corner lamps. evidently, they were "reminded" of non-compliance of some of their products (fined if I remember correctly)
I've the same lamps on my '97 (coincidently) and I've passed Inspection muster in my state by having an Amber Bulb in the rear-most position.

Well hopefully i dont get pulled over. My corner lights dont blink only the font ones, and they blink clear. How much do amber bulbs cost?

No more than a clear (white) lamp. A clear corner lamp bulb number would be numbered 164, Amber would be 164A. The number for the clear front lamp bulb is 7440, the Amber version is 7440A.

I would sincerely hope you're talking about your headlamps, and not the corner lamps. The bulbs in the corner position (194/194A or 168/168A) are rated at 3cp / 1.5W. Your bulbs sound like 9005's/9006's
