i have a question for you 92-95 coupe owners...

i have a 95 ex bone stock...when my vtec kicks...it makes a wired sound, kinda like f1 car sound, is this normal....cuz last time i drove another civic like mines..it wasn't like that...it was just vroommmmmmmm....all the way to redline...and its not chiped either....fuel cut off at 7500...any comments...

 

the sohc vtec engines don't bang into a different sound at the vtec crossover, you should just sort of hear the sound slightly change tones after 4600rpm. i don't know what could go wrong to make a different noise. Also, it could be that the engine has aftermarket cam shaft that you don't know about? That could give you a sound change at the crossover.

 

maybe...i wish i had cams... :D
