Default Damn I have never wanted a DA more badly... HELP ME!

i need help with ideas in talking my parents into letting me sell my 94 ls so i can buy any 2nd gen da in manual.

my car now

auto...boooo

i just want a nice *** fun sleeprish car to use as a daily driver.

i was thinking about a 92-93 ls or gsr with around 130k miles that was well maintained and cared for and id just get some blades, lower it, get one peice headlights, alarm, bolts on and be happy for about 4 years. is this reasonable to get for about $3200 ive been craigslisting for awhile and saw one car but the posting looks a little shady... 200k on the chasis, motor swap and wont even tell what it was and a body kit im thinking it was raped but i really like the paint the interior and the blades.

Aside from your car being an Auto, I love the DC Integras. I would try to sell yours and get a manual DC. But that is just me. However, good luck with whatever you are going to do.

i was in the same boat as you. i had a auto integra ls as my first car. **** sucked i dumped so much money into it and it was a waste i sold it and got a stock gsr and dumped more money to make it loook nice. imo from my expierience the best advice i can give you is go for the tranny swap. its pretty straight foward and u wont have to worry about buyin a hunk of **** to dump more money into. besides that da is whack 3500$ will get u a nice manual dc...... i wouldnt downgrade.

Nice DA ^^ Well dont worry, you will find a DA sure enough. I doubt you will find a DB2 though but good luck with that one. To me a chassis is a chassis and personal preference comes into play with that. So whether it be DC or DA doesnt matter to me I'd take em' both. Go with whatever works for you.

he knows its a 13 second car, if the buyers know that then they know its been driven hard. I paid about 4k for my 70,000 mile DA9 1 year ago and it was in perfect condition. I mean perfect, looked brand new, not marks, no stains, no cracks or scratches, the tailpipe was a little rusty so that was changed, but thats it

"Unless there is a serious problem with your car [being AUTO doesn't count], dont step down to a DA." Its not a step down necessarilily noob. Suppose his nice looking 94 3rd gen has a stained smelly interior with 200K+ miles on it? Would it be a step down to a manual 93 with 130K???

I got my DA in June of 2004 with 134k miles, 92 LS with spotless Captiva Blue Pearl paint, perfect interior, engine was unmolested, 5 spd for $3100. So if you want an unmodified one, Just keep looking, g2ic.com is another place to look, after the usual autotrader, cars.com, and craigslist searching.

As for persuading your parents - show them the list of the top 10 stolen cars where the 94-01 Integra holds 6 of the top 10 spots. So if you moved down to a DA you would save on insurance and it would be less of a theft target. I bet you could sell your LS for close to $5,000, so you or your parents could pocket an extra $2,000.
