OK, imma start off saying, im posting this here, cuz i cant post anywhere else.

So here it goes... i was thinkin to myself on my way home in a freezing car from work... remote start... and you know how most remote starts have the door locks and unlocks... what happens if you take a door actuator from the lock... and make it pop the drivers door open... and take another from the unlock, and pop the passenger door open........ i like the idea since i have manual locks, but does anyone have an experience with remote starts, that can confirm my theory? thanks and hope someone can help

 

yes.... depends on the remote starting system you purchase... they can be programmed to do a lot... start up a computer before the car starts (computer as in xp or linux box)... run a delay on the door popers (that way the door unlocks before poped)... built in turbo timers.... lots of stuff.... google is your friend and find a nice LONG distance system.. mine supposably has a range of beyond a quarter mile. Its work at every distance I’ve tested it with….

 

If you get one with a few extra channels it would be a piece of cake, basicly what your doing is adding door poppers like the people who shave there door handles do, sorry nothing new and untested here buddy. I did it once in my sol but grew tired of the complexity of it and just removed the system all toghter.
