Default quick knock sensor question.

Are there certain OBD knock sensors to go with certain OBD motors?

Im using my OBD2B knock sensor off my 99 B16A2 onto my 98 OBD2A motor. My B16A2 ECU P2T does not throw the code, but my 98 B18C P73 throws the code.

I've wondered the same thing. Everyone says that its all interchangable because its all 1-wire. But mines 2 for some reason....
