D series tranny codes? which ones are the best?
I am looking for a tranny for a crx that has the HF motor and tranny, this set up as many of you may know, sucks for power, great for mileage, but crap for any kinda speed! What transmissions will work for a d-series that will hook up to a d-15 v-tec? thanks!!!!
First thing, the search is your friend this has been covered.
Second. Any d-series transmission from '88-'00 with bolt on to any d-series motor from '88-'00.
Not sure about the pre 88s or the post 00s, but no one cares about those anyway.
If you want better acceleration, get the Si transmission from the same year your hf motor is.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by vteckillenzc »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">91 L3 </TD></TR></TABLE> That narrows it down to....all the transmissions of that year
To tell if you have an SI what matters is the 4-5 digit code stuck on the transmission. I have forgotten though what the proper code is off the top of my head
