could a bad map sensor make my crx run rich?
???... thinking this could also be the solution to gas in my oil... oil is very black wattery and i can smell the gas... and i just did an oil change at noon today... i also did a compression test today #1)180 #2)175 #3)180 #4)180

to answer the question, YES, but is it your problem? probably not. i remember that with RX7's when they had this problem (gas in the oil), the apex seals were getting ready to go bad, i am not sure what the duty of each of the 3 rings on the pistons are but perhaps your rings are allowing it to seep past.....are you smoking at all?

yea black smoke but i figured it was running rich... its not that much smoke though... and i would think the rings were fine cuz my comrpession numbers were good

you have 3 rings, you have a compression ring and 2 other ones, i forgot what they are called and what they do but i am fairly sure that one seals gas
