Default Spoon Carbon Mirrors

Thinking about getting the Mirrors. Are they electronic? Do they make ones that are, that look alike?

Hell I'll take a 6 pack of apple juice over that. Nothing against you flux but IMO I like the stock mirrors. They look the cleanest to me. Now with that said I would get the JDM power folding mirrors.

That's not what I meant by it. I'm just saying my taste doesn't include CF mirrors. Maybe and this is a long shot, but maybe on a black R and it would be my last mod after everything else I wanted.

Well.. I guess you are right, I just like to add stuff here and there. The car sits for 6 months outta the year, because I live in Europe the other 6. Hmm... maybe I'll invest in Hondata instead.

lol...

if it has carbon fiber, whether overlay, or fake and regardless of who made them spoon, vision etc... even the new stuff flakes off not to mention the blue mirrors flake off aswell over time...

it will flake off the base of the mirror....

keep your stocks.

I forgot about this point when I bought some SPOON replica mirrors from the States for my JDM RHD car. All I can see out of my driver's side mirror is the ground..

Are the vision mirrors the same way? All angled for RHD japan specs? As far as the flaking/fading issue, a sponsor on mine owns a transparent paint protection business. I was just going to have him wrap them so I wouldn't have that prob.

I have Spoon carbon mirrors on the USDM car. I normally have my mirrors adjusted so I cannot see my own car in them at all. With the Spoon mirrors, this is not possible. At maximum adjustment they are both angled such that I can see my own car in them.

On a semi-related note, the JDM car has stock mirrors. I can see FAR less with this car than I could with the USDM car with stock mirrors. I know part of the reason for this is that there is no convex mirror. On a JDM car I do not think that adding Spoon mirrors will hurt visibility in any way, as the stock mirrors have poor visibility to begin with.

Maybe manufacturers will begin to exercise a little common sense one of these days and do what Honda did with the EP3 CTR facelift version: The mirrors on both sides of the car are broad angle.

When you say "broad angle" are you talking about convex mirrors?

The only thing I do not like about convex mirrors is that fact that the reflected images are reduced in size.

Yes, that's right.

Occasionally I will screw up and put the hamper in the boot.
