tach reading wrong?
is it possible for a tach to read wrong and what would cause it... i got a 90 crx with a d15b and an ex tranny it feels like... and it seem like it looses power past 4500 rpm and i just went to take it up to 6 and the fuel cut off kicked in at about 5500... it is possible that i was just turning about 7500 and the tach was reading wrong???
i just did a compression test too
1. 180
2. 175
3. 180
4. 180
those numbers seem correct?

The reason I ask is because since your tach is off I want to know how fast it is going in first at cutoff. That will tell us if your tach is off or not.
My old cx engine with my pm6 ecu for some reason would not rev over 6000 RPM, and I only ever got going 26 in first. For some other odd reason when I hooked my ZC up to the pm6 it went clear out to 7200 and i was going 35.
