which is the best head
I am looking for a head to drop on a b20.. liking the gsr but what would be a good price to pay for a gsr head with dizzy and about 70xxx miles?????? or a type-r head???????
I second that! I don't think it flows as well as the b16 or type r but you can port the GSR head, depends on how much money you want to put into it. GSR head will cost you $600 plus unless you have a cool buddy who happens to be parting his car out.
If you can find a b16 or type r and the price is right you can always buy a thinner head gasket to bump the comp. I think the mugen bumps it 0.2 pts. and it costs under 200 bucks.

I would say 500 for a b16 head would be about right. You'll get raped on the hype r, i bought a gsr head from a shady *** shop here in sac for 300 bucks, when I got it pressure checked turned out it had a pinhole in one of the intake ports. Whatever you do- Have is pressure checked before you buy or have that as a written term for the purchase. I think I payed about 30 bucks to have it checked trust me it's a good idea.
I didn't get it fixed, the guy told me it would cost about 200 bucks and said that it wouldn't be as strong. He really laid it down for me-
Apparantly when a pinhole is visable on the outside of alumininum it is much worse than you would think because the hole expands the deeper it goes into the metal. (Visually it would look like a cone.) That may be dependent on the numbers from the test he performed and the location of the hole.
So, when I found this out I threw the ****** head through their window walked inside and made every hot chick in there give me a *******.

Sleeve your block! Upgrade rods, valvetrain, and heads studs for that kind of power. I am not sure if it is absolutely neccesary if you only want to drive it once. 400 hp with stock internals is not a good idea.
ok so frriiiiiggggg it.. I am gonna firstly get rods, pistons, studs. valve springs. valves and retainers..... then I am gonna sleeve.... then turbo... I think I will have a hard time with low compression pistons non tiurbo for a while??????? will i???????????
No not at all. A buddy of mine sent his block to GE got it sleeved. When it came back we put Arias pistons in it. He has a JG manifold, T3/T4 greddy kit rc 440 injectors, some knockoff ecu program. I think he spent about 6k on everything because we gave it to him at cost
