Default d15b8/d16y8 head

alright me and my friend just did a mini me swap and i have been reading up on how to do it... now the thing is the car starts and runs fine by the way we are using the y8 head gasket and z6 timing belt but the problem we have is we cant get the timing right i had it right on with the cam and crank but it lagged once we stepped on it...

so i tryed moving the camgear and it only made it worse... are we using the right t-belt? also we are using the dx dizzy it bolted right up all 3 holes is there anything special for the y8 head any help would be greatly appreciated

Dizzy is fine...what ecu are you using?

BTW...the mini me will always be about a half a tooth off, you correct this by using a cam gear. Also, when you time the motor you might want to make it so that its a little before or after the TDC mark so that when the motor cranks over and the belt gets tension its in the right place.

thanks for the help... it must have been late i stayed up til 4 in the morning trying to figure it out started around 1030 got finished by 1 am... it runs bitchen i looked at it today and it was a tooth off so we fixed that and got a timing light and have it set ded on it pulls hard..

btw we are using a p28 ecu y8 head z6 timing belt... and the belt fitment is nice just worries me because the belt is like 1/2 inch away from the mount but its ok i think.. anyway does anyone know where the compression calculator site is i cant find it we are trying to figure out how much compression he has.. also its a b15b7 block.. thanks
