Fuel Rail Noise?!?
I recently installed a AEM Fuel rail, and a Stainless Fuel line kit. The fuel line kit omits the use of the stock pulse dampener attached to the stock fuel line/rail. After the install I noticed that I am hearing this louder sound coming from my engine bay. If you've ever heard a VW turbo disel Jetta idle, then this is what it faintly sounds like. When I play with the fuel line (wiggle it) the noise gets quieter or louder depending on how i play with the line. I am also using the stock fuel pump.
my question is what is causing this noise, and if this is normal, it sure as hell doesn't sound normal. Is this because I am no longer using the fuel pulse dampener?
I should also mention that I don't really see a negative change in performance, but this noise has got me worried.
