Default help with CF hood

I just put a CF hood on my eg hatch, but it won't close all the way.

i'm i supposed to adjust the latch for an aftermarket hood.

it will get caught on the latch thing, or whatever you call it, but it won't close all the way down. its like if you pop the hood and the hood pops up, well, thats how mine is.

i'm thinking i may need to pick the latch up so it will close all the way down.

okay...

i was just wondering cause it won't close all the way.

i got off a 93 civic coupe and put it on my hatch. it fit fine on the coupe and when i put my stock hood on the coupe, it closed just fine. it just feels like the latch isn't grabbing the hood good when i try to close it.

Try moving the latch up, also make sure nothing is keeping the hood from going allthe way down. Like they said, trial and error.

have you messed with the rubber stops first?
If so, play with the latch

yeah...

i moved the rubber deals all the way down already.

i think the latch it too low, so the hook think on the hood is not grabbing.

i have the latch all the way up though as far as it can go.

i kinda didn't want to put hood pins.

don't want to drill a hole and take the chance of messing something up.

if it comes down to it, then i may put them.

yea, looks nice, if your scared go to a body shop to do it. hood pins will take care of the gap for you and it safer via hoodflying into your face.

you should have pins in anyway, whether you like it or not....dont be stupid.
Yeah, they'll help with gap, and they'll save you from looking like a total retard when your hood flies up. (now watch people chime in "my hood hasnt flown up"...yet...)

Its a lot better to use a stone grinding dremel bit to install them, than drill...since its 100000 times easier

Some aftermarket hood latches aren't as good as stock i would get hood pins in the intrest of safety.
