Default B16 with d series tranny?

Will a d series tranny fit a b series engine, and if not, do you know of anyone who sells adaptor plates for this?

Those would be some long-*** gears anyways. The Civic SI only goes up to 7200 RPM, and sits at about 35 MPH. Imagine going clear up to 8000. You'd land yourself around 43 MPH in first.
