Default new+Jus bought a gsr

I just bought this 2000 Integra GSR w/ 56000mi on it but it's header or w/e is rusty will that matter alot?

take a look at the picture...

if it will become a problem can i get suggestions as to wheres a good place to get a new one?
I plan on replacing it eventually anyways but its just that if it is a problem i'll do it sooner so help would be helpful

look at the engine code, see what it says and also the head code. because thats not a gsr intake manifold...lol.

if everything checks out you might have a skunk2 , blox, or aebs IM
ITR swap.
Ls/Vtec
b16 head...and on goes the list

The car looks like it was modded at one point and someone just slapped the exhaust manifold back on after it has been sitting in someone's backyard for awhile. Also they forgot to put the heat shield back on. Normally no one would take off the heat shield if they didnt need to.

Is there suppose to be a ground wire going from the radiator support to the valve cover? I know my DA has one.

Maybe it's got some goodies inside

A. Read the F&Q at the top of the forum. This will give you a lot of help.

B. If you ever have a problem, use the search tool. It will give you more info than you would if you posted the problem.

However, I feel as though you will spend most of your time in General and the Appearence forum as you don't know the difference between an Intake Manifold and the Exhaust Manifold.

The exhaust is the rusty one. And also, your engine doesn't look like it is stock, or for that matter a GSR. But I doubt that you are worried, so for now enjoy the car and welcome to Honda_tech, just don't post stupid stuff.

it could just be a GSR motor w/ an ITR IM and VC.

I agree about the part about the car being modded. I bed the EM was replaced w/ a set of headers and was swapped back for the sale.

yea the ITR IM swap is kinda hard seeing you have to modify it alot because the gsr head isnt the same as the b16 heads

the itr intake mani wont fit a gsr...only itr, b16, and b17. it could be a blox or a skunk2. or its an itr swap, gsr with b16 head and any of the above mentioned intake manifolds. do us all a favor and look at the engine code. its right next to the tranny. we are all hoping for b18c.....or c5. if its a c1 you got yourself a usdm gsr bottomend...also check the head it will be molded into the casting..it will start with a p. let see what you got

yea that car has a swap. which basically means they took out the old motor and put in another one. it might have been an upgrade, or they fucked up the old motor. hell, that motor could be stolen. that intake manifold(top) looks fine, the rusty thing at the bottom is the exhaust manifold, and rust is normal on that thing.

drive it around for a month to get to know whats good and bad, before you start putting money into it. you dont wanna run out of money when you really need it.

the first week of owning a car is what I like to call the "week of discovery and spending" where you discover what kinda **** you gotta spend money on

Rusty Intake Manifold = that is your headers. that is normal.

I gotta agree with everyone else. That motor is not stock. The ground wire from the rad support to the valve cover is missing, and its got the JDM Valve Cover. Hopefully you got a Type R Motor(B18c5. That would be a sweet deal.

and HURRY and check the block.. we're all dying to know what it is!!!!!!!
