Default Quick Question

When replacing brake rotors...I did a search and found that it may help if I get the Hub "pressed" out. What exactly does that imply?>

THanks,

Default Re: Quick Question (Topnotcheez)

Speaking of a 5th Gen are we???
Honda at one point modified their Brake design in the front (and then thought better of it in later years) whereas the rotor is actually mounted to the rear of the Front Hub Assembly Flange. It saved no money, caused all manner of consternation among the 'motorhead' community ("w.t.f?") and requires the hub to be removed from it's supporting Bearing so as to disassemble the rotor.
What started (and remains true with most all manufacturers) as a simple slide off / slide on proposition, now requires three pages in a shop manual to describe how to do it !!!
