I was looking on craigslist, and i came across this car.

would this be an easy fix? from what i see, it would need a new radiator, possibly radiator support, new front bumper, new hood, and headlight. How difficult of a fix is this?

 

This job will take hours to be done, but no, will not be "out of this world".... it can be done using regular tools, without much experience needed.
If you don't have the experience, at least you need to be patient and dedicated, I would guess.... 10 hours of fix... maybe 15 if you take your time.....

 

so do you think it's worth it?

my tires worth 400 buck without balancing and mounting, if you can get the whole car(not stolen hopefully) for 550, if you have the time to play, why not?

but now you post it on honda tech, i am gonna jack up the price to make you suffer

 

Well, I think it would be fun doing it... since I work in a body shop and I looooooove removing things and replacing with new ones.... ...but like I said.... that job is easy....
Hondas are cars that are easy to work with, like... removing fenders, bumpers and stuff is not a big deal with a honda, because they use bolts and don't weld a lot of stuff, and also screws are not hidden everywhere....
I would give it a try, why not?!

 

Hey man.... I just went look at that page again... and.. daaaamn... see that s***.... he wants 500 bucks because he don't know what the deal is with that car... I would take it.. definetely.... specially being an "EX with 5sp"... that is awesome!

bodywork for a honda, even at a shop isnt really alot of money if the frame is in good condition anyways, i plowed into the back of a truck and came so close to totalling mine but all the repairs, new hood, front bumper, and all the work and everything came out to 800-900 bucks, wasnt too bad in my opinion

 

I'm in the process of fixing mine that was worse than that! I dont have experience...but am hungry to learn. Parts wasn't too much (Rad Support$45Ebay, Primed front bumper ($90Ebay) Front Head lights $46 each, Hood $50 Ebay. I went and bought a Arc Welder (for the Rad Support) Not too bad. I have a new hobby. Car isn't one the road yet...im not in a rush.

 

go for it. that car is a steal at 500 bucks. its easily worth grand.

 

It all depends the year, and trim line of the car.... Like... top end moldings will surely cost more than simple *** cars... as well as a 2003 accord costing more than a 1993 accord.... it's all good... since it's all honda.

 

Door skins.... well... if you are getting 2 of them... yes... they alone are almost 1k together.... and the price sounds about right!

yeh... doubt it. i emailed him cuz he didnt post a phone number. he didnt email back. simple as that. im not lazy. that has actually nothing to do with being lazy.

Well... anyway... ....I would have bought if I were you man.....
There's a lady that aksked 1k for a 2003 dodge neon at my work.... that car had only 15k miles and got badly hit on the side... I would say around 3500 do fix it.... when in reality you could do the job for 2500 or even less using parts from junkyard cars and stuff.....
Hopefully, you find a deal somewhere close to that price. When opportunity comes, take it!!!
