New To Hondas
I have owned my honda for almost two years now and I have put alot of money into it through mechanics. I am tired of paying huge amounts of money to get it fixed when people keep telling me its simple problems. I have been interested in learning how to work on hondas especially my 1996 4 cylinder Honda Accord. Were would be the best place for me to learn about Hondas as a beginner. Are there any basic tools which I should purchase in order to begin working on my honda. I cant be to much more specific about that except that I am a beginner but do plan on becoming very good at working on hondas.
THe first thing you should invest in is a shop manual.
The Helms manual is the one dealerships use for maintenance. It would be good to get this, and figure out what tools you need (there's a section on them), and look for a local auto shop class in your community. They can teach you the basics and the manual will help you with the specifics.

i found that statement..um..nevermind, if i say something, someone probably going to get offended
the best advice to is go general, take a course in a community college, they offer classes like that all the time, for a price for 100-200 buck you'll learn more and it's paying back fast.
go to the lecture, get some lab hour and most of the professor are gearhead themselve, go and have fun.
once you getting more comfortable with the technique, grab a cheap 15bucks manual.

Browse around on HT and different Honda sites, research and learn a litte bit, then move on to actually doing things. You could always buy a beater, and practice doing **** on that.
become friends with a mechanic
