Default Need Direction

What's Up? I'm recently new to the Tuner scene and was wondering if there are any really good sites for learning up on the subject. I own a 99' Civic with a body kit, carbon fiber hood, VTec Engine not sure on all the specifications. But I'm looking for some good rims and info on racing tires. Also I need some information on racing strategies( i.e. unloading at what RPM's and such)

This is the best place to learn whatever it is you need to know. If your asking where to shop....well... that's kind of a broad question, but there are a few people who sell stuff right here on HT.
I personally like http://www.jhpusa.com and http://www.inlinefour.com for a good idea of what parts are good, but you can often get those parts for cheaper if you look around.
Go to the SEARCH menu for any questions and if all else fails just ask the question.

First off, welcome.

Second, finding information is best done through searching. Making threads is also a way to gather info but I would make sure you exhausted your search posibilities. Search on Google and you can gather alot of good info as well as using the search function here. The H-T search engine might yeild better results if you select searching the archives rather than recent topics. The archives are full of wonderfull information and almost any question you want to ask most likely has been asked and answered here before. Search is located here: https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch

Third, where to buy. H-T has its own online marketplace where sponsors can post up special deals they are offering as well as links to their websites where you can browse all of their offerings. The marketplace is located here: http://hondamarketplace.com/

Fourth, you specifically mentioned wheels and tires. Check out the Wheel and Tire forum here on H-T. User nsxtasy is very knowledgable about tires and will surely help you make a good choice on what kind to buy. Wheel and Tire forum is located here: https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=56

My recomendations are to make fequent use of the search feature as well as browsing around random sections of the forum. You can always learn something new just by reading. Last suggestion and Ill shut up , check out the Civic FAQ thread which contains many helpful threads about how to do pretty much anything or find stuff out about your car. It is located here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642479

Ok thats it, sorry for being longwinded but hopefully this will get you started. Good luck with your car and enjoy your stay.

No ish. That's the longest 'welcome newb' post I've ever seen.

I've learned alot of really good info from h-t. I buy alot of really good parts from h-t. But beware there are alot of people on here that have no idea what they're talking about. Just read around the forum and you'll learn quickly who really knows there ****. Also, there are alot of people looking to prove how big their nuts are.... expect it, and take it w/ a grain of salt.
