Replace 10,000 mile old throwout bearing?
I'm getting ready to do a transmission swap (again) to a Y8 from my current Y7. I replaced the clutch roughly ~10,000 miles ago, along with a new throwout bearing. I was curious if I should replace the throwout bearing while I'm in there? It's only been 10,000 miles so it's not that old by any means, I just don't want to have to go back in again.
This is on my daily driver, car will likely not be taken to the track or raced except for the occasional spirited stoplight driving.
Opinions? Thanks peeps.

I wouldn't replace it.
It's hard to justify replacing a part that only has 10k miles on it especially when they tend to go 10, 15, even 20 times longer than that. If it was known that half of its life is over by 10k miles, I'd replace it then, but that's not the case. What gauruntee do you have that the brand new TO bearing will last any longer than this one that has 10k on it already?
How many miles would it have to have on it before you didn't bother to ask us if it needed to be replaced? I only because dude above said replace it and you ask "even with ONLY 10k on it".

I have no guarantee that a new one would last longer than the one that currently has 10k on it. There are no guarantees, or very few.

This is a very good question and an incredibly valid point. I'm not sure. If someone would have been able to justify with a valid reason why to replace it then I might have done so. I guess that's what I was looking for...if there's a VALID reason to replace it. It doesn't appear as though there is so it will be left as is.
Thanks for the opinions.
