Does anyones work? I have a 99dx with an ex cluster (dx cluster had light but never lit) and I have yet to see it come on. Every time I get close I usually get scared and fill up.

 

I've got one. Shines bright on my DX cluster. It is tempermental though, goes off and on depending on if you're uphill or downhill.

 

mine worked about 4 years ago. hasn't come on since. don't know if I'm just not running it low enough or if it doesn't work.

I normally have 4 gallons left when I fill up.

Not low enough. When mine starts coming off an on (depending on the incline), I usually fill up within 20-30 miles and I have ~1.5 gallons left.

 

How low does the gauge go?

 

never seen mine come on at all (dx cluster to a ex cluster now with a jdm sir)

 

My cluster in my ej8 comes on all the time. Gas prices here in the islands are kind of high. It's kind of weird though, sometimes when it gets about 1/8 tank full the light comes on, and other times it's on E and it won't go on.

 

same here. When I used to have a dx motor in my 98 civic the gas light would come on when I was near E but would go on and off a lot.....ever since I have gotten my LS swap I have not seen the gas light come on once....everything is wired correctly to so IDK...

 

have a 2000cx hatch. No gas light, or lens in that spot.

But the DX Has it

 

you are prolly not running it low enough.

but the light bulbs burn out too...

I gotta 96 CX and I was gonna ask the same thing. Thought maybe they didn't put it on the cheap model. I upgraded to 99 SI cluster and still nothing. I've put 11.2 gallons in it before and no light.

 

maybe the bulb was out on that si cluster.

Or if you reused the bezel/cover from your cx cluster you would be blocking the light because the cx bezel has no gas light lense.

Had a Si cluster and Sir Cluster on my cx and the gas lights worked for me.
