I love mine.
No it doesnt heat up like normal *****. You might feel it getting a bit warmer on a long trip, but its FAR more cool than the actual shift lever. You would be hard pressed to get this thing past warm.
In the winter...well...I live in Sacramento, CA, so its never really cold here. But, its a little cold in the mornings here. Its really not bad at all though.
I have had mine since last April and havent had a problem with mine breaking. I slam my gears pretty hard when I am racing, so it does get its abuse.
Hope that helps

Titanium ***** are crap.

They get real hot, they get real cold, and they dent from rings and seatbelt clips.

Uh huh.

If you like grabbing a boiling hot piece of metal in the summer, then go for it.

I've had several. I had the Spoon, and I've had 2 STi Ti ***** for my Subys. They all suck.

They're just not worth the money IMO.

I don't really like the idea of a really light shiftknob, we at Honda Performance Club Sweden got a custom made solid steel shiftknob done. The weight of it actually improves the shifting feel quite a lot. It takes less force to get into gear due to the increased force behind it due the weight.
BUT It's useless on the winter and a bit hot a warm summerday, but as the swedish summer is one day long . It works fine Mars to October.

In the end, buy what you like, just make sure you have an extra leather, or plastic **** around in case the Ti gets annoying to you.

It's made of Ti so it's really light and once you get it you will be like WTF like you paid for nothing....well that's how I was...it's good for looks and weight reduction but it doesn't help with shifting like say a Skunk2 ****.

i have both the skunk2 ****, and the spoon Ti ****... at first i didnt like the spoon Ti ****, because it felt too filmsy, weak, hollow? was scared to break it,.... but kinda got used to using it. although for positive shift feel, the skunk2 one is wayyyy better... looks wise, Ti pwns all...

I loved my spoon ti ****. NEVER got cold. The only time it ever got hot was when my stock shifter linkage bushings were bunk and touching the exhaust b-pipe.
